The person behind it
SRE · Platform Engineer · Cascade Climber
I'm a Site Reliability Engineer with 10+ years building production infrastructure on AWS, currently based in Seattle and looking for roles at the intersection of technical depth and things that actually matter — climate, sustainability, outdoor access, and the communities built around them.
I'm also co-facilitator of Rising Roots, a climbing community creating welcoming spaces for BIPOC climbers in the PNW. I built BETA because a tool like this didn't exist for the crags we climb — and because production-grade engineering is exactly what a community resource deserves.
When I'm not thinking about infrastructure, I'm at Seattle Bouldering Project, riding with Northstar Cycling, or planning my next Cascades objective. Patagonia evangelist. Data nerd. Mountain person.
Technical Skills
Experience
Infrastructure and reliability engineering for a spatial computing and XR studio. Managed AWS environments, built Terraform modules for production infrastructure, observability improvements across services. Improvements on infrastructure behind Connected Spaces, named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2022. The most creatively interesting technical environment I've worked in.
Enterprise-scale infrastructure supporting public safety communications. Proof-of-concept work for FedRAMP certification and migrations to Azure, automated remediation pipelines and alerting, multi-account organization governance. Teaching SRE principles and incident management to 15+ development teams.
Enterprise cloud consulting: the kind of work where you're parachuted into organizations and have to earn trust fast. Migrations, governance frameworks, multi-cloud architecture (AWS, GCP) — built for clients across healthcare, finance, and global retail.
Classic DevOps and infrastructure work serving several development teams through tight collaboration. AWS environments maintenance & improvements, automation, monitoring, release pipelines and on-call.
