Cascade Conditions Intel
Real-time conditions, weather data, and go / wait / no-go signals for climbers in the Cascades. Built by a climber who actually gives a damn about who gets to be out there.
Crag Conditions
Conditions updated daily. Each signal synthesizes precipitation history, humidity, temps, and drying time into one clear read.
The Signal
No single number tells the whole story. We synthesize multiple weather streams into one honest signal.
We pull 24h and 48h precipitation totals for each crag's nearest weather station. Rock needs time to dry — we factor in drying windows based on rock type and aspect.
High humidity means your rock stays damp longer even without rain. Low temps slow drying significantly. We weight both into the final signal.
The output is a clear, honest recommendation — not a wall of numbers. Go means dry conditions. Wait means marginal. No-Go means stay home and train.

The outdoor world has a history of making certain folks feel like they don't belong. That's changing. This tool is part of that change — a resource that comes from within the community, built with the specific needs and crags of PNW BIPOC climbers in mind, and maintained by someone who shows up to steward these spaces.
Developed in collaboration with the Rising Roots climbing community — creating welcoming spaces for underrepresented climbers in the Pacific Northwest since day one.
